Great sermon

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world" C.S. Lewis

Great sermon about suffering at our church:

God is so deeply concerned with our long term joy.

  2. Okay, I don't mean to be a mother taking over your blog....but....I am your mother so I will say one more thing. Sometimes it is okay to enjoy God's whispers....in other words, pleasure in the beauty of the life that He gave us, so long as we recognize where it is coming from and give big thanks. Ecclesiastes a time for everything....God has made everything beautiful in His time. There is no doubt that in our pains God shouts, but there is also no doubt that in our pleasures God whispers. Everything that is brought to us by God, pain and pleasure is perfect and neither is to be exalted over the other. God is perfect and all that happens in our lives is perfect because it comes from Him. The shouts wake us up and remind us, but the whispers soothe us just as a lullaby soothes a baby. Your whispers my dear are around the corner and they will be as magnificent as the shouts. Being able to acknowledge and give thanks to God in ALL times, the ups and the downs, glorifies Him. 1st Corinthians 10:31. Today you hear His shouts and give thanks, tomorrow you will hear His whispers and give thanks.
