Whistler

A nice time in Whistler as a family before dreadful phase 4 starts.

ECG and ECHO

Isaiah had an ECG and ECHO to make sure his heart is ready for Phase 4.  We haven't heard anything so I'm going with no news is good news.

Molluscum

At Isaiah's last appointment, they discovered that Isaiah has a harmless skin virus called molluscum.  I know you are all going to google it.  I did too and it sounds worse than it is.  He has two bumps on his face.  Although some websites say that it is contagious, the doctors have said not to worry and that it is not contagious so please don't treat Isaiah like an alien.  It is very common in young children who are immunosuppressed. I am wondering myself how he contracted this virus.  All I remember is that after he had a fall on his forehead at the playground, a tiny red bump accompanied his giant bruise and scraped forehead.  It never went away.  That was probably a month ago.

They cause him no pain.  It can become a cosmetic issue for some children but considering he's only 2.5, he's not exactly looking in the mirror every day.  Some children are covered.  Please pray for healing.

Two firsts!

Isaiah had his first ever dentist appointment today.  He did very well but has been feeling a bit off all day.  He doesn't want to walk up and down the stairs and asks to be carried.  He also does a lot of lying around.

First dentist appointment

So, tonight we had our first ever family movie night!  We watched 45 mins of The Bee Movie.  Attention span isn't that long.  So fun!

Isaiah loves to wear his sun glasses.

Chemo X3

Today Isaiah had two chemos through his port and one in his spinal fluid.  He did very well.  We were told today that Phase 4 will be a bit tougher because he will be back on the steroids.  :(  Not looking forward to that.  Phase 4 starts beginning of August so we are going to enjoy these next couple of weeks.

A great week

Queens park

one week old baby goats

This weather has been awesome and Isaiah has really enjoyed his time outside.  We've been on the go all week, visiting multiple water parks in the area.  Isaiah is still doing so well.  You wouldn't guess that he's going through chemo.  Praise God!

Chemo day

The wingman

Thanks for helping out again today Nana!

Fun with Dad

Isaiah has been a busy boy this week.  We got his blood counts back today and because he missed one of his chemo drugs last time, most of the counts were at a normal level.  No wonder he's had so much energy!
