Two firsts!

Isaiah had his first ever dentist appointment today.  He did very well but has been feeling a bit off all day.  He doesn't want to walk up and down the stairs and asks to be carried.  He also does a lot of lying around.

First dentist appointment

So, tonight we had our first ever family movie night!  We watched 45 mins of The Bee Movie.  Attention span isn't that long.  So fun!

Isaiah loves to wear his sun glasses.

Chemo X3

Today Isaiah had two chemos through his port and one in his spinal fluid.  He did very well.  We were told today that Phase 4 will be a bit tougher because he will be back on the steroids.  :(  Not looking forward to that.  Phase 4 starts beginning of August so we are going to enjoy these next couple of weeks.

A great week

This weather has been awesome and Isaiah has really enjoyed his time outside.  We've been on the go all week, visiting multiple water parks in the area.  Isaiah is still doing so well.  You wouldn't guess that he's going through chemo.  Praise God!

Chemo day

Thanks for helping out again today Nana!

Fun with Dad

Isaiah has been a busy boy this week.  We got his blood counts back today and because he missed one of his chemo drugs last time, most of the counts were at a normal level.  No wonder he's had so much energy!

Tanked

Spent the day at Children's today.  Isaiah's counts tanked even lower.  His ANC was 0.00.  As a result, he did not receive his IV Methotrexate and will have to skip the second dose completely.  Good news: hemoglobin and platelets were up so he was able to receive his VinCristine.  Overall, he's doing great and really enjoyed his day at the hospital.

Low counts

Isaiah did not receive his chemotherapy today due to a low neutrophil count (0.03).  This is the ``infection-fighting`` part of the blood which means we must practice extreme caution with regards to germs.  This means no play dates, no going to the grocery store, etc., until his counts come back up.  Tuesday, more blood work will be done to see if he can receive his next chemo dose.

During this round of treatment, Isaiah receives chemo every 10 days and each time, the dose is increased.  I`m hoping that his counts dropping low after the first dose is not indicative of how the remainder of this phase will go.
